Is there a membership fee?
No, there are no membership fees or minimum number of dinners to attend – just sign up if the restaurant appeals to you. We have added a $12 service charge to the restaurant's fixed price to compensate us for expenses.

Are meals à la carte or prix fixe?
Meals are prix fixe. We always make an effort to have choices to suit the majority of palates. If you have questions about the menu at an upcoming dinner, please email us at janet@finedinersover40.com.

Are alcoholic beverages and coffee included in the price?
Occasionally the price includes wine and/or coffee. Please note the details for each event.

What is the male/female ratio at your events?
We usually have a nice mix of men and women, but we do not expressly make an effort to achieve a balance. Sharing the dining experience with fellow foodies is our primary objective and we’re interested in meeting new friends of both genders.

Are all dinners located in Manhattan?
For the moment, Manhattan is our focus. We know there are wonderful establishments in the boroughs and suburbs and will consider these options in the future.

How do I pay?
Payment is in advance by PayPal. 

What if I sign up and have to cancel at the last minute?
If the restaurant cooperates in not charging us, we will be happy to refund your money, less the PayPal fee.
